Circa 1997, in San Diego, CA, my father wrapped me in a blanket, grabbed his stereo and a diaper bag, and walked 50 city blocks until he reached my grandmother’s house on the corner of 68th and El Cajon. I consider 68th and El Cajon the first brick to the foundation of my existence. With that as the first place I called home, all the music and influence I’d carry with me up until this point of my life started there. With 68th and El Cajon as my first beat tape, I consider this to be the first brick of my contribution. I wanna thank everybody who helped me bring this project into fruition.

It’s time to build. I’m starting with this.

The music and lyrics sound and mean the way the album cover looks (a mustachioed cowboy-knight brandishing a sword in some sort of psychedelic spirit realm, to ward off and kill any potential demons that may lurk ahead, in a kind of charming cartoonish way akin to the show Adventure Time, for example). The title, "Spirit Roaming," also seems to be perfectly apt for the theme/concept of the album iativos
